Good to hear! That sure puts a hurting on bars from the few cuts I made.
What I have is more suited to soft woods, I think, since that's what has been milled with the 3/8 .050 lp. Big oak is 3/8 .063 square chisel. 50" & 60" bars are canon thicker, even more stiff

I'm gona have to try and replicate that. Is the canvas looking piece for rolling the log onto the cart? Or is it just to help hold things in place? Or, what does that do exactly?
Rolling the log onto the cart. I almost never use it. I use a pickaroon instead. But it works well.

IMG_20221126_081010082_HDR.jpgHere's proof of the old saying about a fool and their money being true. Guy ordered this off of Amazon because it was cheap and those Stihl and Husqvarna saws are overpriced. Besides, this is a 62cc saw, and it says "pro" right on it, so you know it's heavy built.
Straight from China! Won't start, and I'm not going to waste much time on it. No parts, no quality, nothing going for it at all. One of the sales people up front checked it in, if he would have brought it to the shop, I wouldn't have let him leave it here.

Morning everybody.
Gonna try to get some white oak logs salvaged out of a dozer pile today..... kinda steep hillside so it'll be interesting.
I figure as long as I hang on to the log tight with the grapple I can't roll over.... right?
