Yeah, been thinking about all the possibilities. More than likely I’ll get a regular bed off marketplace here local. A guy has one for $125. Been seeing a few flatbeds for sale. Asking $800-1000 for them. I figure I could build a wooden flatbed for about $400.
That $125 bed looks better all the time.

$125 is less than the steel it would take to cover one...

That sounds vaguely familiar… I know you are in far worse shape than we are but that seems to happen here also. It’s a magically disappearing/dissipating storm cell.
I ended up with .19” or rain out of our last one after checking the gauge. I looked from the house & guessed 1/4”.
