Which brings up how I met Jim:

I had run afoul of one of his friends over a Remington Super 75A. Kid sold me the power head but kept the bar/chain off of it. [emoji90]. I let the fellow know I was displeased.

I showed up in Jim’s front yard looking for a bar & chain for the Remington bantam.

When I introduced myself he replied: “I know who you are.” Face in a scowl.

Months later I discovered him on AS and sent him a PM. “Howdy neighbor” Not sure he was the same guy.

By then I had a fair track record and he warmed up to me.

Took a while but worth it.

Turned me on to GTG ‘s.

Traded Jim a chainsaw for this Lawnboy. Kyle did a super job repainting the deck.
It doesn't get used often, it's pretty special to me but when I pull it out I always think of him.
I'll miss talking to him.

Jim was a Great guy and a good friend.

I will miss him.

My fondest memory is when a bunch of us chipped in and bought Jim a new set of tire
for his old White Ford.

I think that touched him and let him know how important he was to us!



The day this photo was taken we all just sat around and drank coffee and shot the bull.

That was a good day also.
