Made the pink dogwood into a tree.

A MS290 does not make a good trim saw but is what came to hand first. [emoji57]

Besides the tree trim I got the gutters cleaned out and diagnosed the garage door opener failure.

Plastic worm gear set self destructed.

Looks cheap to fix. [emoji1696]
Them plastic assemblies are fast to be cast and drop into the catch, cooling on the way, but storage fee drives up the price.
Long ago drove delivery. 5 am pickup to deliver to Nelson sprinkler Lotta boxes of plastic pieces that fit with aluminum tube sections for yard sprinklers

Took some of the boys to the Baraboo Steam and Gas show, and got a little smoke and vibration therapy.

Some of you guys should check it out sometime. It’s a great show, seems like anything mechanical built over the last 120 years is represented.

Oppressive heat all week! Cooking the crops for sure.
It’s supposed to be that way here also. The beans are really struggling to fill the pods here, we are needing a shower to help them along. We have missed any substantial rains lately. We seemed to have developed a bubble here that pushes the cells N/S as they come in. I thought maybe you would get some of that action that was going on up by Concordia last night.

Stayed north of us. I blame it on the wind farms blowing it around! Ha
Oddly enough, I have maintained the belief that they alter low level conditions enough that it affects storm systems. Every since they put them in north of us a few years ago it seems to be a yearly deal. May as well blame the green energy camp for affecting the environment in a negative way.

Got some saw time in yesterday..
Had to drop 6 dead/damaged trees for the neighbor.

Guess I aughtta get that splitter finished..

After the rain Saturday, it was nice and relatively cool. Sam and I have a job dropping 50 plus trees (the owner says 100ish) in an old fence row. We went out Saturday afternoon to start. We were standing in water in some of the area. The sun came out right when we got there (about noon). You know the rest of the story. I was cooking after 30 minutes, only lasted 2 hours. My clothes were so wet I could barely get them off.

Dad come by and brought 2 saws he has , one Shindaiwa 488 and a Husqvarna 55 ,

Said they will not start .

Both of them started 5 or 6 pulls .

He is 81 and just cannot get through his head he can't do a lot of things any more.

Any tricks to make a drill starter like a Dewalt?

Or just go buy him a good Milwaukee battery saw?

Or a Dewalt?

That was me yesterday...
Good thing the hot wind blew all the sawdust on me to soak up the sweat..

And stick...

But by the time I made it back to the house and grab a cold frosty out of the shop, it had liquified again.
The cool shower I took last night never felt so awesome. Just kept turning the hot water down till it was all cold.
