Let’s go back to the original hammer throw.

I’ll bet it’s much less dangerous than the whirling dervish type launch.

Was a 62 degree low in the Blacksnake Hills last night.

Two nights ago it was 79 degrees. [emoji15]

My weather app shows Hoskey was down to 52. Jackets required in Iowa,

Rings for the Solo delivered this afternoon. [emoji106]

Ring installation requires a keen eye and steady hand. Neither of which I have anymore. [emoji2959]

Long block together. Had to pull the cylinder back off partially to place a hex head bolt in its proper place. No getting it in there with the cylinder in the way. [emoji90]

Installed and then removed the clutch side frame. Had to position a spacer. [emoji90]

This thing is like a pile of Lego blocks. One thing snaps on another in the proper sequence.

Had to put new seals on the oil cooler as well as replace a turbo in a Sprinter 3.0 diesel last week.
Talk about layers...
Having the dealer manual really helped though (even though it is electronic). Every step was spelled out both ways.

I went thrift store bowling with the youth group. You draw names and go buy $10 worth of clothes from the thrift store and give them to the person whose name you drew, put the clothes on and go bowling. Yes, i am wearing a skirt!!!

The turbo went on our family van.
Thankfully the turbo died near home. We are heading to MT next week. That would not have been fun to deal with while on the road.
Regarding my work van, it is still sitting in my yard waiting for me to get enough time to get it fixed.
I will try to remember to take some pics when it is light out.
I am still driving the wrecked one right now.

Looking good there Tom. [emoji106]

Skirts are actually OK with me. [emoji4]

I went to a Halloween party dressed as Strawberry Shortcake.

Northwest chapter Missouri Society of Professional Engineers.

Hostess had to tell me to cross my legs while sitting as I wasn’t being ladylike.

The Poulan toss...

The round lift...
I remember Rob and I were at the girl Scout Camp cutting up some red oak. He brought along his son and 3 of his friends. All seniors in high school. They were the muscle to get the rounds over to the splitter. Now, these rounds were 18 inch thick and averaged a good 30 inches in diameter.
The boys decided to make a competition of throwing these things as far as they could up to the splitter, which was a good 50 feet away from them. Before Rob and I knew it we were dodging rounds that were landing next to the splitter.
These boys were tossing them like they were Legos.
If I had tried that I would have broken in half.
:)
