Sad but if a thief wanted to get in there he would just cut a hole in the exterior wall. [emoji37]
Most thieves are not that energetic, tho some on drugs have climbed 10' chain link to steel the 2 batteries from a 5 ton diesel. Boss took them out and brought em, in at the end of the day. They'd stay there til truck was needed nextSad but if a thief wanted to get in there he would just cut a hole in the exterior wall. [emoji37]
Morning everybody.
True, but he would have to work at it. If a thief really wants your stuff, you're not going to stop him.
I have a few advantages with this place.
1. It sits in the middle of someone else's 40 acres.
2. You literally have to drive down my neighbors driveway to get here. She keeps an eye on things for me and she can be like a Pitt Bull when she wants to be.
3. My entrance looks like a gate into a field.
4. You can't see it from the highway but the highway can be seen from it.
Hang a dead one on the gate..Mo. Jim has had trouble with scoundrels getting in his place at Halls.
His neighbor screwed a sheet of plywood over the doorway after the first time.
The thieves brought a cordless drill driver with them the next time. Got in again.
Then they brought a ladder to get in the garage.
We need public hangingsJust like coyotes...
lol..
Honestly, that sounds like an ideal setup for a place a person doesn't live at. How's the old saying go, "a lock only keeps out an honest man". I'm a bit excessive with my security and even still, I understand that it will only slow someone down, if they want what I have bad enough. Sometimes if it looks like too much trouble, they move on. Not always, but sometimes. Doing what we can, security wise, can at least make us feel better about things, at least with me it does.
Been thinking about putting a couple of game cameras down there, pointing at strategic spots.
Hope no frosty *s-word here..We had 1.05” rain Saturday night which was much needed, I see the lawn & windshields were nice & frosty this morning. Hopefully these frosty mornings are about to wrap up till fall.
