Ran the new to me WM LT-30 today and milled some walnut. Now we need to get it all banded and on the shelf for drying. Much more to go but we made a dent. Started with the small stuff.

The one in the forefront is 16’ long. Mostly 9/4 true width boards.

I’m workin on an ash log.

What’s the scoop on the late model under the cover? I spotted the hoosier tires. We used to run the same here.

If you look real close you can just see the lift gate of the trailer on the top left of the picture. We didn’t hit many races this year but under the cover hides an ‘18 MB Custom unlimited late model. We just ordered a new one so I’ll have plenty to do this winter.

Replaced the too short pull rope on the complete 200t. Comp is good on it. [emoji106]

Box carcass piston & cylinder look good. May just insert a Metior because it’s apart. Needs new fuel and impulse lines.

Gonna make 3” slabs and put 3 together with a live edge on rack outer side. Table top.
We’ll see if it looks stupid.

What’s your standard OP for handling one of those wild hogs?
Skin/ quarter/ refrigerate?
Save back ribs for eating right away?
Make cuts? Sausage?

I don't know much about milling.
9/4 gives you enough room to finish out a 2" board after drying, or resaw into 1" boards after drying.
Seems like a win win to me...

I really like live edge when you have a thick enough piece to give it substance.

I’ve just been cutting 5/4 so far.
Figure they’re stronger than a piece of pine that’s 1.5”x3.5”
5/4”x6” should work for projects.
