Use smaller equipment in that pond....

Will be easier to drag out after sinking it past the cab....

We have a pond like that. It has a huge magnet in the center of it. If you get close to any edge with equipment that magnet will drag you into that sucker every single time.
Charles will use his track loader.
It’s a biggun. He starts at one edge and gets down to the clay and rock then cleans from one side to another. It’s got about a 2 yard bucket. He’ll get one full and take it out, dumping where he sees fit.

Good afternoon!
The people that I worked with had a surprise going away party for me the other day.
I got this saw and a pair of photo pit passes for next year's air show in Kansas City.
I found out that is why I was asked about battery-powered saws a while back. [emoji848]

Friend of mine has a pond that dries up almost every year and he won’t dredge it out when it’s dry. Drives me nuts
Sounds like somethingu I'd do to enjoy my neighbors more. Ya know not do something they believe should be done, and watch the negative emotional response. Can't push those buttons til you show me the location of same.lol

That’s a good looking mower Steve. How’s it compare to a old lawn boy?

Well, it's just a 4hp Briggs is all it is on this one, anyway. There are different model levels of this one and some have the full pressure Kawasaki engines, with oil filter, on them. But they all share the same deck. Compared to a 6.5hp Duraforce Lawnboy, the lawnboy is a clear winner. But those Duraforce engines can be cantankerous at times or you get one that runs great all the time. Mine has lost spark again. As much as I like 2 stroke Lawnboys I just plain got tired of working on the one I've got. My main mower is a Troybilt with a Honda engine. All you've got to is look at the pull cord and it starts and it has variable drive. The more you squeeze the lever the faster it goes. The Deere is a manual 2 speed trans. 1st gear is more my speed anymore. It's a comfortable, easy walk. 2nd gear will give you a good cardio workout. And it, too, starts by looking at the pull cord.
:)

The deere mowers of that era are very special. I have collected many of the 14sb Kawasaki power 5 speed transmission with blade clutch. Your SZ is nice because the clutches are over $150 to replace making it too expensive to keep my collection all running. Btw SZ stands for self propelled with zone start.

Don't know if that would work here. We have no rock where ponds are put. Only up on the hills.
Folks here normally cut the levee in the spring and work the bottom in the late fall or the following year.

If there weren’t a clay bottom, the odds of holding water here are slim.
