QUESTION

365 is done , new bar not in yet ,

Put old bar and chain on it , started right up , little adjustment, ran very good ..

But here is the problem, the throttle will not open 100% , and the only thing i see that could cause it is a worn out throttle cable....

What ye think?
Is carb supposed to open 100 % ?

Btw I really like this saw, can't wait till new chain and bar come in.

I worked on a 2188 that way
Customer said didn’t want more time in it so I put a small oring behind the end at the carb
Worked great 100% throttle

Thinking about something like that.

New cable is cheap

I don't surf the classifieds enough to get that lucky. A new one is not much more. I just don't know if I want to go down the rabbit hole of square grinding....I think it's a trap!!!
Yes it's a trap because once you get em right you'll give away all that semi-chisel stuff lol. Love the stuff out of long bar milling, like 4 or 5 foot bars with skip or semi skip to allow room for the chps. Have any large logs over there?
No wait Kyle has a 5-6 foot diameter 20 foot tall stump due to top blow out. His is first after everything gets scattered together for the process.

Looks like I may be the proud owner of a wood mizer wide cut band saw..
Pics to follow. In a couple days.
A good friend, x- neighbor, has a smaller version. Pine cut off his property ,early in his ownership, is close to 90% of his house. If you have the logs they can easily pay for themselves

Morning everybody.
Packing the flat bed trailer wheel bearings today and installing bearing buddies.
Getting ready to go down to Hootin Holler and build a new well house this weekend, hopefully.
:)

That saw will be worth more to you than it is to anyone else.
They are better than the modern 365's.
And if fed well, will last longer than you'll care to use it.

Yep, I plan on taking this slowly. Plus my kids are coming down to help (as in doing most of the work) on this part of the project.
After the well house is done, then it's time to pull the Well pump and see why the pump quit. I'm betting its a broken/bad wire connection.
I'm building the well house with a flip type roof and a beam across the top to mount a boat winch on. The previous owners dad put this in himself, I'm betting. So, it was probably done as cheap as possible. It looks like he used schedule 40 white PVC pipe. Which makes me worry a little about pulling it. But I'm taking with me a complete new well just in case I have to change the pump. I sure hope it pulls easy
:)

Got a call from my brother this morning. My mom died early this morning. Unexpected but not really since she was 94. She’s in a better place now so no grieving just missing her. This damn virus kept me from going see her. Death sucks and I’ll be laughing when he is thrown into the lake of fire. Love on your loved ones often.
