So you own an Easy Start saw. Do you like having it on your 250?

Replaced it with Farmertec starter.

The Stihl attendant modifications to make the Easy Start work on 45cc are driving me nuts.
Special coil, flywheel, chassis/crankcase, purge bulb and such that are different from a ‘normal’ MS250.

Damn. All that for a starter that makes no sense on a small saw. Don’t know what Stihl was thinking when they designed that.

You should see an 036 quick stop. Makes you almost want to buy a first class ticket to Germany to stab a kraut. Special clutch side case half, oiler, clutch, tanks, extra cable crap and clutch drum. And everything is NLA for it now.

Those features just seem over engineered for their purpose. Why exactly does Stihl put those on their saws?

The China made MS381 found a new home. [emoji106].

Took a MS290 in partial trade. Good runner. 10 yo saw.

Fellow first wanted the Farmertec MS460. But, it bit his pull start hand. Bet his fingers are numb tomorrow.

That thing is mean SOB.

Got the PTO pulley in today.
Now all I need is the mule and the belly mower.

That has a QD bushing. You can go larger or smaller by changing the pulley. You got the tapered bushing. [emoji108]

Those two extra holes in the pulley hub are for pushing it off the tapered bushing.

Anybody know of a belly mower and the bottom dual pulley assembly? Some call it the mule, but it changes the belt direction from the PTO to the mower deck.
