Happy Saturday. Man what a week. Started kinda slow but from Wednesday on it was WFO. Had crews up by Jeff City we had to get back, a fresh engine to put back in a rig plus we’re moving from the rent house to the new one we just bought.
Funny thing on the new Cummins. Got it stuck in yesterday, pulled the shutoff wire and cranked it to get oil pressure before I let it have fuel. Every rotation I’d hear a noise like a compression leak. Get to nosing around and noticed #5.....Cummins tech had the injector hold down clamp upside down lol. Fished that pesky booger out, flipped it over and we were good to go. That little 8.3 had around 20k hours on it. Had two injectors not gotten sloppy I believe it would still be going strong. Makes me want to pull them in the other two we have and get them tested.
Well it’s back to work moving lol. All the big stuff is done. We’re down to the totes of crap we really don’t need to keep but somehow always do!
