I've got a question for the group.
I always watch marketplace for vehicles to trade.
I almost always see a truck for sale that is an everyday driver to the current owner. Yet they don't have a title for it. Never got one. Yet the truck has license plates on it.
How are they doing this?
I don't touch any vehicle that doesn't have a title.I have no idea. Sounds fishy. I would stay away.
And I don't understand why someone would put that much time and money into rebuilding/restoring something that has no title.I've been looking casually for a Jeep CJ-2A. I've found that about 60% of them don't have a title. Some of them look to have had a substantial amout of money invested in restoring them even though they have no title. I checked with our MVI inspector that comes by monthly and he said that getting a title would be pretty involved and suggested that I avoid them.

One guy on another group thought there be no way that I'd gas and oil the saw and run it.
BTW, it oils like the Exxon Valdez.

I don’t remember if a 250 had a purge bulb. [emoji848]
Scored front and back. Can’t decide if it’s worth $60 in parts & shipping to fix.

Yeah, I've looked into what it takes to get a title for a vehicle that doesn't have one. It's doable, but there's a TON of legal hoops to jump through.
It's just not worth messing with.
I've also read about getting a "Bonded" title. There are companies that specialize in these. You pay a fee, typically $200-500, and they issue you a title. Then you wait for 2-3 years and if no one comes forward with the original title then you are issued a regular title from the state you live in. Still sounds complicated and still a risk.

Never seen an 025 with a bulb either.
No rewind starter or AF cover to tell me wtf it is.
Mostly I can get upside down in it.
