Getting real dry here. We are headed for a Forth with grass fires if it continues.

Morning midlanders!

The funny thing is, I checked the rain gauge at the house and had 1.5 tenths of an inch and dead fly in it.
3 miles west at the Wheatfield there was 2.2 inches of rain and it was like a car wash.
We had to use the four-wheel-drive tractor to get the wagons out of the field. Lol

Wife got these for me for Fathers Day. Kind of left me speechless.
After 38 years, I reckon she's a keeper.
The near box/cart has all the basic hand tools. Sockets/socket accessaries, wrenchs, pliers, hammers, etc. Stuff that's used all the time. The big box contains all the specialty tools. Stuff not used all the time. The far box is my new chainsaw workstation. The maple top will raise up about a foot with storage under the top, plus 6 drawers storage for all my tool kits. I'll disassemble the old wooden work station and build storage boxes out of it to mount on the wall around the new work station. Then extend power to it and under counter lighting. I guess the wife took pity on me, my old tool box was turning back to it's natural elements.

Takes a bottomless kind of mud to stick a combine, the 9400 is 4wd, so it'll go get wheat in places you'll be sorry you did afterward.
Like 18" deep ruts you have to fix.

I remember it well. Caldwell, Ks. Or rather, just over the line in Oklahoma. 200 acre field. Big city kid. Only piece of farm anything I had drove up to that point was my granddad's 8N. I got once around the field instruction from my school buddy. Then it was "You're good to go." Couldn't cut a staight line to save my soul. Driving along, minding my own buisness, when it just stopped all forward movement. Tires churning away. I shut it down, got out on the platform and saw the belly of the machine sitting on the ground. A soft, wet spot in the field. Fortunately the 5 acres I tore up was already done.

Jim is doing OK.

Claims the on/off switch on his butt shuts keeps him in the 'off' mode.[emoji6]

I be in the off position more often as not.
