Reading through this makes me realize how little I get out. Lol I had no idea you can shop Walmart through an app and drive to pick it up, and if that Amazon store Dub mentioned is a real thing, that's some scary technology IMO, I'll pass.
I haven't shopped at a Walmart in 15 years, for several reasons. Too many people, and I got tired of 50 registers and only 3 of them open, but I used the self checkout, because it was faster and I didn't have to deal with a bunch of people. I got better things to do than (edited spelling) stand around in a Walmart checkout line. That said, now the closest Walmart to me, is about 60 miles or so, so it's not just a trip across town and I'm OK with that.
I use a small grocery store, in the next town over, and never have to deal with crowds, the people are friendly, and I'm in and out in no time. It's surprisingly good for a town of about 900 people. Good, fresh fruits and veggies, and a deli counter and they have the best beef I've ever had from a grocery store. If they don't have what I want, they will order it, and then give a discount, if you buy, by the case. I like to support the little guys as much as possible.
