It sounds like you gents in Southern MO are in for some heavy rain followed by some ice, did I mention the wicked winds preceding it all. Good luck & stay safe. It’s pretty blustery down here in @67L36Driver ‘s neighborhood too. I usually get around 5.3-5.5 on the way down loaded but the southwesterly winds have been a bit tough on mileage today.

Around here there are several permanent ones built, some have large hay bale blinds; I guess they are wire framed with plastic looking hay camouflage. A few folks have used old 150bu. gravity flow wagons, built a box/hut, in/on them then have a portable shack.
I always wanted to park a old cabed combine out with some shooting ports

My uncles A hole neighbor built some a few years back and tried renting them out. These would park right at the blind
So good ol uncle Ernie installed some feeders on the otherside of his property to steer the deer away lol.

We'll be heading to Holton, Ks in the morning. Spend the weekend with Sister in law and Niece's family.
Looks like traveling could be interesting.

I'll wave when you drive by lol.

It’s a good idea but... If you did that around here even with an old non running combine & the DNR heard about it, she would confiscate your gun, any thing you shot, give you a ticket for shooting from a motorized vehicle, get a search warrant & go thru your house & buildings. Then it would be up to you to take them to court & prove your innocence. She’s a bit over zealous.

Build one then goofy ass towers I see every once and a while.[/QUOTE

Out here seems like they all want to put their spikes por steps in a nice walnut tree!

Bought timber from a guy and there was 7 deer stands in it! Problem was he had never gave anybody permission to hunt!

It was blowing pretty fair this early afternoon. Rain hasn't amount to much yet. North 60 miles they predict 3" or more yesterday do in next couple days. Wood get interesting on my place.

One of our neighbors hunts from an old Gleaner that was parked in a fence row about 25 years ago.
It’s full on woods and brush now. Got a tree growing up through it.
Bet he’s shot deer out of it for at least 15 years I know of.

Headed to McAlester to visit mom in hospital next 3 days , looks like poor weather to do anything.

She's been diagnosed with dementia, they think the aggressive type.

Not sure what we are going to do yet .
She has a specific living will.

Morning midlanders!

Just snagged a set of rings to go with the piston I got from fossil for the Rem Super 990.

Maybe we will end up with a runner after all. [emoji1696]

It’s about 34 & not very windy at the moment in St. Joseph, I hit a few sprinkles on the way down, hopefully it holds off with the icy-snowing stuff till I get back home. They have us in the 2”-6” or 3”-7” snowfall range depending on what you look at.

Steady moderate-heavy rain since leaving St. Joseph, rain is very light in Maryville when I stopped for fuel. I believe I will take my toboggan, slide on home & park it.

"Damn, we're in a tight spot". That's a great movie! There's very few occasions in life where Gov intervention turns out to be a good thing.
