Mulching leaves. My last yearly go-over of the yard before I take the deck off. Those dinner plate size sycamore leaves are a pain.

Cut them GD things down and haul ‘em off. Only other tree that puts out that much trash is a sweet gum. [emoji2955]

We're getting good at this. Real good.
Maybe we should hire out.

Or maybe not.
Tylenol is working overtime right now.

Steve hiring out is just not good. Wipe smiles off faces as we were told not up to production schedule. Couldn't enjoy the companionship, my sense of accomplishment woodn't be. That's important for a guy like me. Been called disabled 47 1/2 years, get something done out on my own most of the time. Gave me something hard to define or get.
BUT ON A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SUBJECT:
Someone is missing a pair of fingerless gloves & a stocking cap. Kyle put it in my van, so these may have been left in the cab or bed of his truck. P M an address to me and they'll be in the mail.

Well, I'm sad that I missed the GTG, it would have been fantastic to all of you buggers, cusses and snorts again! Dad, Chris (a buddy from the Base), Dave (who's Mother's house it was we were cleaning up) and I cleaned up a a bunch of smaller trees and one bigger Cedar on Friday, and then Dave and I finished up on Sunday. All total, between 4 days worth of work over the last month, I netted 6.5x dump trailer loads of wood (7'x14'x2.5'). Two of the loads were thrown in, the others were all neatly stacked tight, so I should end up with somewhere between 9-10 cords out of that, and I scored a load and a half of Hedge from the neighbor 1/4 mile down the road, with another load waiting on me. This isn't everything I need for next season, but it's a fine start!

Here’s a dandy little round.

308 powder capacity with a 80 grain pill.

Fast little buggers they are..
LOL, every deer I've taken since that first doe, has been with my pre-Hawkeye, Ruger 77MKII Stainless sporter in .243. I normally use either Honrady 100gr Interlocks, or 85gr Sierra BTSP's, (both hand-loaded). The Sierras do well in most situations, especially on lung and head shots. The Interlocks do well on anything other than lung shots. I imagine if I lived in Elk and Muelley infested territory, and had enough access to be choosy about my shots, I could do well with the interlocks out to about 250 or so, with well placed shots.

I have yet to take a deer with either of the 8mm's, but I will eventually. I have a few other toys to use as well between an M1 Garand, the .357 Taurus, the Smith 629 and my little Ruger 77/357... All in due time, but my .243 is definitely my go-to.
