We had a maintenance man that you couldn't risk standing near him for fear of becoming collateral damage.
One day he was changing a tube in a 230V fluorescent light fixture in the shop when all of a sudden there was a flash the intensity of a solar flare and when we could see again, there he was looking around to see if anyone had noticed.

I used to work in a manufacturing shop, and there was a guy who was the same as Abby. Things would be fine and normal, all of a sudden his machine would start popping and pinging and making all sorts of new noises and he'd just keep plugging along. I'd go over and say "Whatcha got goin on here? Something isn't sounding right." He'd look at me with the blankest look and say "oh, sorry! I didn't even notice!" I can't hear for crap and heard it from across the shop. How he never heard that stuff is beyond me.
Those are the types of people who's cars sound like they are about to fall apart, while they are driving down the road and never notice or if they do notice never find out what that new noise is.
"intensity of a solar flare" Lol! Now that's funny! Having a "Jerry" as a maintenance guy is an oxymoron. I bet he kept himself in a job though!

I used to work in a mechanics shop and it almost scared the crap out of me, when I saw what some people would drive down the road. Not so much crappy looking, but crappy, as in not mechanically sound. I would always think, "This piece of crap is on the road, hauling kids around"? Needless to say, it was about that time, I really started paying more attention to the drivers around me. Not that I didn't before then, but it sure made realize that a vehicle can look decent but be a hunk of crap mechanically.

The 7.62 x 39’s are fine shooting AR’s, out to hundreds of yards. I have two of them, Colt Sporter Lightweights. Common folk like us can’t even buy Colt AR’s any longer, and I’ve had these for many years, as well as Colt’s in full length AR M-2’s in 5.56/.223. They’re high dollar, money go-getters now.
The .300 Blackout is the option for the 7.62 x 39...and it’s a fine round.

we have an early childhood center for 4 year olds here. Sam was attending when I get a call from the principal one day; there was an issue with Sam, and I needed to come to the school. I arrive and Sam is sitting in the office in tears. I go in the principals office. She proceeds to tell me Sam was in an altercation on the playground. A bully was bullying Sam’s friend. Sam threw him down and he and his friend started kicking the *s-word out of him, as much as a 4 year old can do anyway. A teacher saw the whole thing. I asked Sam if that is what happened. Sam says, “NO, I wasn’t kicking him I was just putting my foot on him!!!!!!!” I wanted to say “damn right you were!!!”, but I looked at the principal and said, “do what you gotta do, I’m good.” I left there a proud dad!
