Anybody try those headlight restoration kits? Do they work? Does it last very long after restoration?

I don't know the brand. My mechanic has a setup for use in drill with buffer pads and buffing compound that clears up the light, in other words takes away the effect of all the diffusion from scratches. Was easier to order a brighter light from Amazon and install it. PITA flashing bright lights say

Restoration kit on Amazon is $20, replacement lenses on Amazon $154-250 with not great reviews, OEM replacements around $475. I think I will try the restoration kit.

Headlight restores are an upsell at work. They turn out amazingly good. The secret to longevity is the sealant coating that's used when you're done. I just buff mine with plain old polish and a 3" detail buffer about twice a year.
