That's a fact! It's the best we got out this way, and thankfully in the towns around here it's plentiful. Lots of old trees!
Are they the thorny variety of honey locust?
“Pink wood”

Or the Black Locust “yellowish wood”

Or I hear tell of towns planting a thornless variety of honey locust for shade trees.

I have seen the thornless type.

The one I'm doing now is thorny. A couple fellas in the firewood thread said it was Honey Locust. Some I've done in the past, don't have thorns though, and the owners said it was Locust. So I'm not 100% sure of subspecies. I posted some pics in the "firewood, lets see what you got" thread. So you can see what I am on now.

Looks like we are sending you some more water this week Carl. Hope you didn't want to go to Omaha.

Does not bode well for the bottoms around the Nebraska City area. It was still a train wreck around there three weeks ago. [emoji2960]

It dries the corn down fast..
Bout the only up side I can think of.

Well it does that, I guess. We had alot of corn get blown down awhile back from several days of ridiculous wind. I think they are ready to get it out of the fields. Should be a good crop though, with all the rain we've had this year!
