Tired of the cold. Have new clutch packs for the truck rear end and need to change oil. I have got to build myself a shop. Laying on the ground to do this work is getting old.

After a long run down the interstate the clutch packs in the vet diff would let go with a loud bang.

Or, in snow or ice, steering wheel input would be ineffective. [emoji15] Made for a few scary moments.

The original GM additive was sperm wale oil.

They used whale oil also in transmission fluid back in the day. Friction modifier to keep it from rattling when cornering. I don't know how to describe the smell but it takes multiple layers of plastic to mask it. I ordered a couple of extra bottles that came in two layers of plastic bags and sealed with tape over the entire pack.

A little under $8. I didn't know that the clutch kit would come with any so I also ordered 2 bottles of yukon from amazon for 7.85 each.
