You can replace the seals without splitting it, BUT, it takes a special seal from steal. Over 20.00 per seal. Depends on what's more important on the job, time or money. The seal that you split the clamshell to put in is a lot cheaper. Just a lot more work to do.Had slight slow leak. Bubbles didnt show it. Dunked it. Flywheel seal leaks. Given this is a clamshell can i replace seals without taking it all the way down?
Now im gonna replace fuel line, carb kit (maybe carb) seal(s). One of the fins is busted on the flywheel
Btw, i measured the bore. Its an AM pc. Measures 1.9”; a ms390. Will a bigger carb help much? Muff been modded.
