Dang things are expensive.
But it's what mama wanted.
Happy Wife, happy life .

Just bought one..

Know your pain.

What did you guys get? I have spent $4-500 (maybe more) on mine in the past 6 months trying to keep the ice maker working and fixing a leak. It is not that old.

I have a clothes washer on the outs also. Repair man said it would be better to replace than fix and to run it until it quits. And what wife will go for a mis-matching washer and dryer?

Yea these newer ones aren't as good. Mine is about 15+ years old it's a Kenmore gold if memory serves me correct. I'm told it was one of the last ones made in the USA b4 they went to China.

An appliance dealer told my dad just that---"the new ones are junk, buy the cheapest one because they are just as good as the expensive ones as far as quality is concerned...if you get 10 years out of one consider yourself lucky"

We got a new one a while back to replace our still working Whirlpool that was 38 years old. I highly doubt that the new one can last that long.

Yes they are. I'm lucky to the fact that my house is small and the spot for the fridge has cabinets built around it. So I'm stuck looking at the smaller ones only.
Same here except I refabricated the upper and side storage cabinets to allow a modern-sized refrigerator to fit. If we were to stay with a size that would fit the old opening, there was only a couple very basic refrigerators that would fit.

The one that quit on us was a whirlpool. I really liked it and it was about 10 years old. 6 feet away from it is one we bought when we moved into this house 33 years ago . The new one is a Frigidaire . Deck Decided to get ice and water in the door this time. It's a French door type with freezer on the bottom. 2 ice makers, one in the door and one below .
I hope it's the last one I buy.

Cheapest stainless looking one from Lowes that had an ice maker. Ours was becoming so troublesome, we had to quit using the ice maker. Once they become troublesome, ya can't ever make em right again.
Frigidaire I think is the new one.

About how many bees did he save?
Queen still with them?
Looks like they'll be close to filling those 2 deep supers pretty full. It appears that the queen is in the hive according to how the rest of the bees are acting.

The queen appears to be in the boxes, but I never did see her.
They were surprisingly calm/mellow throughout the arduous process. They are generally quite testy when queenless.
The colony was quite large. I fit all the comb I could salvage into 7 deep frames, and thought that one box would be enough room, but by 8 PM there were so many bees that the box was full, and they had bearded all over the front. I added a second box, and they seemed to have moved in nicely.
