Absolutely..I know nothing about this stuff but do you think that would work in my shop?
Does it need internet to work
How much are they?
Thanks

Absolutely..
Outside unit mounts somewhere aimed at the tower of your choosing.
Co ax cable routes from it to the unit in shop or house, then broadcasts signal inside at a helluva lot stronger rate than just standing outside.
$399 at Best Buy.
FYI..
The nearest sprint tower to us is 9 miles away.
I put it at the peak of the house and literally aimed it toward jasper where the tower is.
And bam..
LTE...
I had looked into them before and sprint was offering a screaming deal to tell Verizon to piss off, so I pulled the trigger.I need one of those and I live on in town.
I really think sprint should give those out for free since they have spotty coverage at best.

Exactly...The important thing to remember with boosters/repeaters, is that they can only boost an existing signal. If you don't have any signal to begin with, then it won't do any good. If you have a weak signal, then it can make it stronger.
My house has no service on the ground, but by placing my antenna 30 feet in the air, it can pick up a weak signal, and re-transmit it in my house as a usable signal (as long as I stay within about 20 feet of the antenna).
I tried a cheap China model, and it did not work. I now have a Wilson (since bought out by WiBoost), and it has been great.
Howdy men
Well, the tree thing is taking off like a rocket. More saw work than I can do, but I’ll give it my best. Eight or nine new clients this week alone. Five yesterday. Signing up for arborist classes this fall in Manhattan.
Had a problem putting a ladder on my truck, got my first ding. Paintless dent removal at the dealer tomorrow morning, and a homemade truck protector.
Also some redneck engineering. What’s the ugly mess going to be used for?
Ugly mess solves a real logistical problem for me, actually.
