This last crank install I set the oven at 275 (ish) and it went better than the previous 250 degrees.

Crank in plastic bag in freezer ice maker bucket.

No paint smell so the next one will try 300.

Oven mitts are awkward.[emoji57]

The service manuals for both 441, and 260 call for preheating to 300F.

Morning folks.

Afternoon fella's. Had to run to Rolla today and saw a real nice Jonsered 2172 in a pawn shop. Looked to be real low hours by the external condition of the saw. Dude said he'd take $500 for it. I'm not familiar enough to know if that's a good deal or not, so thought I'd pass it on to you folks that might be close.

New clutch springs, rim drum and bar dog also needed.

Basic engine is together.

400 wouldn't be bad not knowing the history.

Wifey is cold, and it's supposed to get back down to the thirties one day this weekend. My fire was out, but I just refired the smoke monster. I have to admit that it's been pretty chilly in the house the past couple mornings. Looks like I'll be burning for another couple weeks.

084 flung the chain on the 3rd cut at the races and ripped a chunk out of the chaps..
Lotsa shredded fibers..
Announcers used it as a "teachable moment" for the spectators.

What a bunch of pansies...
Lol.

Yep. We were getting pretty good at swapping the chaps back and forth. [emoji2]

Don't forget the "don't start your saws like this at home, or you will die" disclaimer. That was hilarious!

Awesome stuff. I hope I can make the next one.

The clip on cast alum muffler is hollow inside. The clip deal remains to prove itself.[emoji19]
