Howdy men

Well, two jobs in the books, got to help a longtime good friend with some large fruit trees. Got three down and bucked up in 6 1/2 hrs of hard work, I think I held up ok. My friend is unfortunately old well beyond his 70 years, hard to see that happening. We’ve been friends fifty years. Close friend. Kind of like the jerry Jeff song Desperadoes waiting for a train... but I helped a lot, charged very little, as I likely to be.

Headed to Chicago Monday, my stepfather is all messed up again, this time with congestive HF, and a but load of denial. I think a chapter and verse reading of the original text of The Riot Act is in order here. He’s a retired history prof so he’ll get a kick out of that. Says he’s kicking out the caregiver after a week; gotta admire the stubborn spirit, but I’m not ready to lose him so soon after my mom. So, we’ll see how it goes. I’ll check in with reports this week. Thanks fer listening. Or reading or you know..
Take care and enjoy this day!

Smoked a dry rubbed pork loin for almost 4 hours this afternoon.

It sure was juicy.
I vacuum packed it, and plan to reheat it by placing the entire sealed bag in boiling water.

This is my plan for Mothers day supper for my wife, because I don't have time to grill on Sunday.
I hope it works out :)

That should work pretty good. When I was in high school I worked at a Boston Market and that is how they did there ham and some vegetables, but it was in a super charged steamer thing. 3lbs of ham would be ready to serve in 5 minutes.

Morning Kenneth!

Morning midlanders!

Fixed Doc’s 050 recoil/tank yesterday. Three of the four attachment screws broken off. Three were easy Helicoil fix. Bottom rear was a *b-word. Now it’s got a 6mm screw.

If there is one powerhead that desperately needs a comp release, this is it.

Darn thing is a tank.

Good morning gentlemen.

I am looking for a good automotive battery charger. The last one I bought was an electronic Schumacher (sp?) that gave up the ghost a while back. I don't need a 24v one. Looking for something that can do a quick charge, as well as a trickle charge for ressurecting batteries that have been sitting for a while. Having a boost function would be nice.
Any suggestions/recommendations?
