I was under the impression the northern guys had a bunch of hotrod vintageI thought it was funny .I knew I was going to get my butt kicked. I still enjoyed getting up there and running saws.
I gave up about 1:00 and built a fire in the shop stove. Feels darned good too! I thought it was supposed to be springtime.Noontime readings here showed 71 degrees. Down into the 20's tonight, so they say .
Ya they had big pissed saws, butThem old saws make good power if they running right and proper.
All a man's gotta do is gear and chain it right for fast cutting.
They do way better than you'd think. I've seen Mac and big homelite's fly.
Remember that homelite 360?Ya they had big pissed saws, but
I thought there were more in the 70cc
And under. I have seen video of
A bunch of saws like the black saw
And Alan's old red jonsered running
And such like them, maybe they were all over 70cc?
That's kinda what I'm thinkn as well. Jumpboxes are only so good b4 they die. That thing could prove useful.

Haven't had to put a kit in the carb yet either. Been running it since yesterday. But today it'll actually idle and rev. Keeps getting better everyday!Of course it runs. It didn't have a choice .
I need to find me some kind of racing saw .Honestly, I wonder how many of the old saws actually run to their full potential?
We tend to expect less of them so settle for less than was intended from the factory.
I still got the 360 homelite still a great runner, super xl's, xl12's, nice 10 10 mac, and lots of other stuff.Remember that homelite 360?
It made real good power.
They made a 45cc saw that would pull full 3/8" no problem. I forget the model, but it was an angry little thing.
