1999 vintage. $399 at Ace hardware. I still have to store it on a slope to keep the fuel in it. Weird plastic carb, but it seems to do just fine.

If i could, I would have (and would recommend) a low profile dump trailer, but I don't.

With that said, I have used a 16 foot utility trailer for 10 years and it has served me well. 2-3500# axles so I consider it light duty. I wish it had a fold down ramp.

It all comes down to what you want to spend. If I wanted to spend a little more (more than a 16' utility trailer) but not as much as a dump trailer, I would try to find a heavier duty 16-18' utility trailer with 2-5000# or 2-7000# axles and heavier frame.

As far as brand goes, they are all the same to me.

Here is an example of a heavier utility trailer:

https://www.pjtrailers.com/trailers/p8-angle-pipetop-trailer

Dad and I were looking at some 14K buper tow (non-GN) trailers. The biggest drawback is you need a good class V hitch just to legally pull it and can still be over on the tongue weight if you're not careful. Plus all that weight is acting like a heavy lever off the rear-end of the truck. I may end up with a 10K car trailer at some point, but am leaning towards a 14-16'GN Dump and a 20-24'+5 dual tandem GN flatdeck that we'll mount a winch on the neck of. Awhile back I wouldn't have considered the money for hyd jacks. Now, I'm thinking about that very hard. Plus with both of our bigger trucks having B&W hitches, plus receiver hitches, and the fact that a GN carries the weight better on the truck, it just makes more sense, while leaving the smaller stuff for the receiver hitches.

PJ builds a hell of a trailer though.

Thanks for the positive vote. I printed off their utility trailer brochure, and I definitely like the construction specs. Makes sense, especially the added strength and the removable sides. I want to bae able to enclose it when it's time for us to move in a few years. Nancy's ex is a piece of work, and he will be released in about four years... I plan to take the printout to Jim's in south Topeka, I've been talking to them for years about having them make a trailer, and I'll see if they can make one that is comparable, with a few features I want. The Primate is out of school tomorrow and all next week, and he really wants to go for a ride in "the red truck."

I don't think I need a gooseneck, because I like having access to the bed, and those locking covers are way cool for traveling

I’ve had the Poulan up on C’list less than an hour. Already have three robo scammers reply. [emoji37]

M’effers! [emoji35]

Edit: four!!
And that is what is keeping me from posting a few saws.

A good shotgun and a better dog can fix that scumbag problem.

Just saying.

I like big Nates new trailer. 22400lbs of oak. Hydraulic ramp and jacks. Ramp lifts up and can hold 5000 lbs. He uses it to haul round bales.

What is a "robo scammer"?

Scammer uses some ‘app’ or software to respond to a Craigslist add.

Ask if the ‘item’ is still for sale. Almost never refer to what exactly you have listed.

Invariably want to send a cashiers check for the ‘item’ plus some extra for your trouble and have their ‘shipping agent’ pick it up.

They want your name and address. (You see the danger in that?)

I usually respond with a “Go #%¥k yourself” and block their number.

Always, Always ask Siri “where is area code ###” before responding.

242 is the Bahamas btw. [emoji23]

The ballistics testing prospect does seem rather interesting, but Nancy is not terribly keen on running across him here in town. I see her point, and well, I'm not really one to seek out dangerous conflict. I want to be able to go rock climbing without having to drive six hours, as well.

The Poulan runs, oils and cuts with the proper pitch chain. [emoji849]

Some turd head reefed on the bar so it needs dressed.

May post it on C’list after that.

Was this one of the better saws from Poulan? I run across quite a few at pawn shops. Seldom cheap enough to leave any meat on the bone for resale though. I need to familiarize myself more with Poulans. I know a little but I may be overlooking some good saws from time to time.

Good afternoon y'all
