Nice griddle!
Working my way thru the pile. Top off, start/run, test cut, adjust the carb and empty fuel back out.
Got nine done starting with the big old devils.
Iffin’ I started with the small ones I’d run out of steam by now.[emoji29]
A half dozen more to go.
Thanks, Steve! Mine is a Duraforce with a steel deck. I really like it, although an aluminum deck would make it easier to haul around. I wonder if these things are rebuildable in terms of the bottom motor bushing and so forth. It seems it would be better to have an actual bearing there, but mine had made it 18 years and is stihl going pretty strong. Seems that with the new oils, that 2 strokes should be about the same as 4 strokes in terms of pollution, but I'm not in charge of those regs...Jim would know more on Lawnboy than me but later in the companies life they had 2 "grades" of mowers . Silver series and Gold series . Silver was the base and had a steel deck and standard wheels. Gold had an aluminum deck and premium wheels. (I have yet to figure the actual difference in the wheels, though.)
Over the years they had several different engines. The ones I know a little about are alphabetical. A thru F and another that was Z, I think. And they had the model M .
The E is the Duraforce engine. Kyle has one. Jim's is the F series engine.
In my opinion the Model M was their last ditch effort to clean up the 2 stroke for the EPA. It was oil injected at 64:1 oil ratio. No mixing gas needed. And it was a completely different engine. Earlier engines are all reed valve. The M is piston ported .
Good morning.
I got a lot done yesterday, but today Nancy is not feeling well, so my activities will be curtailed a bit. I just read that there's a new DeathWish remake out there, with Bruce Willis. That's one I'd like to see. The politically correct are already trashing it, which makes me want to see it all the more.
Hope your day is a good one!
If those eggs were supposed to be over easy, you didn't do a very good job.Finishing up breakfast...

That griddle has been one of the best investments in my wife's kitchen. It is a lower-end commercial unit, but it works great. We have gone to all commercial equipment now. It makes meal prep so much faster.Nice griddle!
