Good morning! Built some shelves in the garage yesterday. Now we can get the baby carrier in and out of the car without tripping over everything. Think I'm gonna sharpen my turning chisels and go practice making things. Need to find some better wood for turning. Pine tears and breaks too much......

Another job came along,
The client wants these 2 496 Chevy
To make 750 hp each they go in a
100,000 dollar boat.
The guy I work for is getting things
Together to build a test stand so we
Can put some load on the engine.

My only question would be, "Does the boat have a Margarita machine?" These are serious questions that need answered, lol. Looks like a fun project. Boats are a lot of fun as long as they are somebody else's. I don't like losing money. :)

A guy drops off the forum work for a while and comes back trying to get caught up and it looks like the world is turned upside down.
Been taking care of life situations that have taken most of my time. Really wanted to make hedgefest last month but needed to be where I was more.
Been cutting hedge about every 5 days or so to keep the house warm, found a good way to get it cut quickly. My dad bought a new 70 horse tractor and one of his friends wants his property cleaned up, most of the hedge has broken tops due to past storms. I cut the tree down(well detached from stump) and it remains at about 45* angle which would almost be impossible to cut but now we pull it out in open and have it cut up in a couple of hours.
Hope to be posting a little more often. And checking multiple forums now :)

I had to check two other forums and a few threads to find everyone. But regardless of site seems everyone in this thread remains the same from site to site

How did the charity cut go today.

Went good..
We cut tons of wood..
There's 10 times that out there.

I slept well last night and I am sore today. Like Matt said, we cut TONS of wood. The splitters couldn't keep up. Matt was wrong about one thing though, there is 100's times more out there. We cut in an area less than the size of 1/2 an acre; never moved the trucks or went to another location to cut. The property was logged and looked like a war zone. Tops laying everywhere.

FWIW, there were about 50 people there. It was a huge Charity Cut. I think all the proceeds of the sale of the firewood were going to Missions in Africa and other parts of the world. I got to meet and spend a little time with the Missionary. God Bless him and his work.

Have a good one everybody. Time to get our worship on...

Yup, we didn't even begin to make a dent in the amount of wood that's there. We got in a little bit of saw time, a lot of filing time, and a little bit of socializing, and had a bunch of wood to show for it. Thanks to Thomas, and Steve, and Matt for making the trip and pitching in.

Wish I could have been there. I thought you guys were doing that in March? Glad you guys had a successful and safe cut.
