Alright fellas the clutch on my 750 was stuck to the drum. I got the clutch off and found that it may have been too tight against the drum on the back. Anyone have a IPL on these? After removing the clutch it has a split washer then a very large fender type washer.

First, do you have the 3 shoe clutch, or the 6 shoe clutch? In any case, there should be no split washers in the clutch.

Been looking at some old Homelite catalogs and it is sad to see how far they were falling behind even in the 1980's. Nearly all their pro and semi-pro saws were 60's-70's technology or rebrands from somebody else. Department store cheapies were what they were betting the future of the company on and we see how that turned out.

Guy's i have a question. I have a homelite 750 with the walbro wb9 carb. I would like to put a wb2 off a 650 on it but cant find one. I might have found a wb4. Is it the same size venturi as wb2? Will choke and throttle rod hook up?

I don't have spec's on the WB-9 but Walbro application charts show both the WB-9 and the WB-4 being used on the 750. The throttle and choke shafts on the WB-2 are the same as the WB-4 so you should be good to go there. Both have Venturi's of 23.83 mm as well. As far as internal jetting goes. I don't know.
I'll attach the document I have with the carb parts for all but the WB-9. Go figure.

Looking for a 775-G crank. Homelite PN 58890 (listed in the manual as A-58890-B.) Seems to be unique to the 775-G. The direct-drive IPL calls out for a different number.

Anyone know where I can find an as-close-to-NOS-as-possible 58890 crank?

Because of the 100% rebuild I am doing on my 1958 EZ, I decided to contact Rust-Oleum to see if they could / would do a Paint match to some paint I discovered to look almost original on this saw. Besides, their corporate headquarters is 15 minutes north of me....

http://opeforum.com/threads/homelite-ez-1958-100-rebuild.9101/#post-527972

Well my communications with Rust-Oleum was good and bad.
Bad: They do not do color matching....

Good: They gave me their Small Project Paints catalog...
Almost all the paints are available in Spray or 1/2 Pint or Quart size cans.

Now for what I think might be the Real Good news...
Matching the paint particles to the catalog, in the sun, with my wife also looking, it appears the color is Satin Apple Red (also available in Gloss).

I am going to get a can and do some testing on the EZ with different primers.
Now that I have a Blast cabinet, I can test, test and test again.

btw: The Ford red they carry is Very close to this same Satin Apple Red.
