Some say BB is not recommended. Some do it. Different opinions.
What do you guys think?
I also have a BB kit on mine but without popup piston. Great response and torque. But it vibrates more than stock. Bad for case and all the relevant bearings!?

ditto. the 365 would be the g372 vs. g372xp or g372xt

Although there may be a shift depending what I find digging into the g372xt....if the carb is a true rendition of an X-torq carb, I may decide blending the Hyway 52mm top end ( and Origional edition intake boot cut and rotated ) to that saw with that carb makes better sense...just also get the better handle and put that on as well. They are cheap. So time will tell...just need that time!

Can we assume a couple things here? First being that a blue saw is actually made by Farmer Tec, vs sourced from some other manufacturer as seemed obvious with the 71cc G372XP? Does their XT clone seem to be one of their own, or is it sourced like the 71CC? The blocky tank handle would be one giveaway, wouldn't it? Some of the parts in the 65cc clone, (should be called G365), are improved and updated from what they are selling replacement wise and in the kit saws. I didn't pay attention to what they did with the Stihls, but I'm guessing they develope these saws to a certain level, then when they are satisfied, they are added to the Blue Thunder line.

The home grown 65cc saw is a more faithful and better quality saw than what they are getting from that alternate source, and to me would be the better starting point for any type of project. If it even needs to become a project; the 65cc saw runs awful good just the way it is. Or even the kit saw if you enjoy puting them together.

Wonder what color that 288 is going to be a couple months from now? One good thing about the saws being blue is that the dishonest saw scabs that are out there can't buy a set of decals and pass these saws off as actual Huskys.

No way to tell. Likely depends on when the kits were assembled. The kit that Walt gave me was something he had around for a while. It had a different carb, starter housing, and a couple other small bits than the clone. There's no way to tell what they are putting in the latest kits. Things are always changing. That kit saw runs fine, and kit or clone, some of the parts that we used to be leery about like carbs and ignitions seem to be far better than they were just a few years ago.

I guess unless I stumble over a decent 038 priced fairly, I'll roll with a G372, or a G388.

Doesnt seem to be much practical ownership differences.
As I'm not a everyday user I wont buy a brand new Stihl or Husqvarna 70cc saw.

It’s amazing to see that the saws have improved over time. I personally have 7 of the different models. I would rather build the kit saw version. Spike is right on, some parts are coming from different sources depending on a kit saw or complete unit. My 365 saw that I bought complete, from huztl the throttle opens only half way and the jug says made in Italy on the casting. May have to replace the handle

The hyway bb pop up kits are nice
Mine are not far behind my ported saws with a 20" bar.

Why don't you have someone rebuild the G372 that blew up with oem or good aftermarket parts?

Problem is finding a builder that will touch em . Spoke with Mastermind bout a yr ago and they informed me that they won't touch em nor would they woods port my 390 , which was a real bummer considering they are in my state .

Cause I cut my losses as a learning experience and let nephew have it for parts or whatever he seen fit !
