So....... I need some help with helping a friend.
What I'm up against is that my friend bought a alaskan mill. He doesn't have a big saw, so he asked me if I had anything in a big stihl. I happen to have two fairly complete 460's. I know they are small for a mill but a 660 or 088 aren't a option in his budget.
Now that being said. I'm lost on how to price them to him. One has a perfect p&c but broken handles/plastics. The other has a roached p&c but good plastics & handles. Basically can make one real nice saw from the two.
Where I'm at is they were part of a shop I bought all the parts and pieces from. I probably have more in them than I realize because much of the inventory is oddball stuff not easily saleable. Making these 460's one of the higher value items in my eyes.
What would a fair price be on them? I know what a good runner will bring locally. But want to be fair to him without shooting myself in the foot.
