Has the 661 been proven like the 066/660?

I have a complaint about one of Scott's saws. My Poulan pro 455 he built made my Stihl 460 feel really lame. I'm normally in the it's-Brad's-fault camp, But Scott really screwed the pooch on this one.

;)

You better let him know, how can he improve if you keep it to yourself???

Oh don't worry, I'll be seeing him next weekend. I'm going to be bringing all of my dirty laundry both literal and figurative for public airing-out. :)

What has been done to that saw??? They generally respond real well to porting.

I just opened up the muff on my brothers, and frankly was not really impressed. So I advanced the timing on it and I just got off the phone with him, he loves it! Since factory timing is not uniform, each saw may be different.

I'm pretty sure his 460 is stock.

It's been replaced since then, but it just had a muffler mod. It was a strong running saw, but that PP just has incredible throttle response and nutso torque. Plus everyone laughs at me when I brag about my Poulan in complete seriousness. :)

the poulan pro 455 was a torque saw stock and im sure with scott working inside it would be even better
it is the one from the raffle earlier this year ?

It's that saw. I'm very lucky to have it. Yes, it's a torque monster. I only have a 20" bar for it, but with an 8 pin and an aggressive chain you can push it as hard as you want. :)

Shame yall have to buy a different filter setup on such an expensive saw, maybe stihl will upgrade it soon.
They are $2200 here in Australia new
Then the Maxflow runs up about $140

Im still planning to get one just cause they are so smooth and they have great potential

OMG. Why so expensive for everything down under? That's just crazy.
