If you get a saw modded......take a little time to get to know the builder.

Thanks. I am getting to know a few, but just through what I read, not having approached any directly regarding having a saw done for me (I did speak with one a wee while ago, for a friend, but that's it). There are a few near the top of the list, a whole bunch in the middle and two right at the bottom. Long way to go before I'll ever afford to get a saw done but it's good to read, learn, ask in the meantime. Having been royally burnt on a few machinery purchases over the last few years, perhaps I'm a bit paranoid. But owning a well-ported work saw is on the "do before I can't", pre-bucket, list.
