Got the undercover 383 in and fired on father's day. Really took my time to get everything the way I wanted it and it looked great. *f-wording cam didn't make it through the break in...

Waited 6 weeks for a custom roller cam to be ground, so here we are all torn apart in chassis setting the end play on the new cam. I knew better than to run a flat tappet but rolled the dice anyway in an effort to keep on budget. Never again will I put a flat tappet in a motor.

I've been battling with the front springs on my car.
Due to the location of the tubular lower arm pockets it has made getting the longer springs in much more difficult.
I tried the trick of compressing them and tying with wire but I'd either need some stronger wire or many more wraps as once I removed the compressors, they broke.

A bunch of sweating, swearing and one slipped prybar causing me to punch myself in the side of the head, I finally got them in.

Previously they got installed with the shocks already installed and captured inside. Well, that wasn't happening now so I had to grind out the bottom of the arm so I can slide the shock in from underneath.

I might have to get longer shocks too.. I'll have to see if they bottom on extention.

This is with just the left side installed.

Measuring to the fender it sits 1 1/8" higher than it did. Visually it's hard to see but I think it's going to be enough to keep the tires off the inner fenders on turns and does level the car out more.

Hopefully I'll finish up the right side this weekend.

No clue why some of the pictures transfered to here upside down..

Custom ground roller cam is in and she's alive once again. Definitely got some more gray hair from this ordeal but it was worth it in the end. It's a runner now for sure. Hope I can keep second gear in the old powerglide, at least until the th350 gets built.

Ok folks, I need a set of halfway decent tires for my Honda Accord in 215-60-16. Looks like the cheapest ones I can get still in a recognizable brand and not Chicom are Kumho Ecsta PA51 and Nexen N5000 or CP762. The CP762 is supposed to be a premium tire. They are $70, $80, and $88 a piece before install/disposal/tax etc. Which one would you go with? I'm normally a Yokohama fan but that's just not in the budget right now.

I usually check the ratings on tirerack.com before I buy. Of course our winter weather is more extreme than yours.
