Going to call Holley again tomorrow.
They tell me the ECU is fine but I've been over all the wiring for continuity, terminal location and no backed out terminals 4 times along with 3 oxygen sensors and it just reads a flatline in the ECU data.
I've posted my program GCF and a data log on the Holley forum and there's some legit smart dudes on there and I think every other thing has been exhausted as far as possible issues.
I'll loan u my 327 chevy v8 with reman quadrajet. Was the 327 chevy an engine option when that car was new?

Operation NP205 is kinda a success. The case is in the truck, one needle bearing bit the dust and was swapped out and the guts are so-so but for now it'll work. There was a wee bit of surface rust on a few gears but I cleaned them as best I could and a whole new gear set isn't in the budget. For now the gears should self-clean after a fashion and I'll change the oil in the t-case pretty soon to "flush" out the contaminants. Not ideal, but it's for my truck that I don't really use that much and it's a risk I'm willing to take. I had to get creative, the vent bung was rusted shut so I used the cut off stub of the speedo cable as my new vent. The Dana 24 cable and NP205 cables don't interchange when I want to get a working speedometer I'll need to source a cable adapter and actually drill out the vent bung.

Just a heads up should u decide to dig a little deeper, the usa standard gear np 205 rebuild kits are very well priced. Can usually be had for $200 and under. Everything is tighly shrink wrapped.

If u check out the big country np205 guru at moonshine mafia motorsports, u can see he has stacks of usa standard gear boxes. 1000's of used np 205 parts too.

Yep I hear yah on gears. Found a new old stock 10 spline output for $75 free shipping to AK. Paypal.........engage.

I finally got a call back from Holley on Thursday about my ECU that has been in shipping and testing limbo for weeks now.
I was told it passed testing. He also told me he was calling because he was verifying everything I've tested, then said I'd get a new ECU but needed to check a few things and he would call back...
All this BS has put my mind back into the "I don't want to work on this " mode. I was hoping to have ran it down the road at this point of the year..
I'm real close to pulling out all the Holley stuff, cutting up a factory harness I have, going with HP tuners and chalking this whole Terminator X max thing up as a very expensive mistake.
I've even considered a carbed intake with the module to run the coils. And at this point I'd adapt a fůcķing Thermoquad to it before I'd bolt a Holley on.

On today's episode of 1st world problems, when I park my 5th wheel in the "car port" for lack of better terms, the solar panel meant to charge the battery would actually kill it due to lack of sun and keeping the inverter powered on.

So, I installed a disconnect switch so I don't have to keep taking the battery box apart to disconnect it.

Now I'm sure many of you use zip ties.
In fact, if you don't there is something fundamentally wrong with you and you need to seek support.
I'm also guessing many of you have performed impromptu surgery on your hands and forearms with the cutoff ends of zip ties.
In fact, I believe they could be used to shape diamonds, rough cut titanium plates and in general be used as weapons of warfare.
In any case, do yourself a solid and get some flush cuts. No more razor sharp end to the zip tie.

These were a 3 pack off Amazon, Smithology branded, for about $20. I've been using them at home and at work with no problems.

Correct.

Cars generally hate me lately.
I want to be mad at Holley, but I see both sides of it so I'm just pisşed off in general.

Here's one I've been chasing at work for a month now..
17 Cadillac Escalade. Towed in, misfire. #6 pushrod bent. Quoted lifters, right bank, and both banks and also warned of possibly needing a cam but unknown until apart.
Tore it down, and there's a gouge/groove in the #6 intake cam lobe to go with the broken lifter.

Customer called, given quote. Customer freaked, called, cried and whined to GM. Now repair gets ran through the "Customer participation calculator" and I'm getting warranty time while GM picks up the bulk of the bill.

Service writer also failed to inform customer of the P050D cold start rough idle dtc that was set history. That usually leads to fuel injectors.

Cam replaced. Road tested. A seemed fine with me.

Customer comes and picks it up. Complains about the idle.

After spending time with it, notice idle does fluctuate, seem unstable.

Run through all injector diagnosis. #1 out of range. Dealership owner decides to eat that and have me replace it.
Same thing...
Clean throttle, learn idle, replace all injectors.
Get a GM field engineer out. Do relative compression test, connect a pressure transducer to the intake to measure vacuum pulses, all kinds of stuff...

Then, GM finally admits they have had a few cases of mispackaged cams. They think it's the wrong cam.
Only way to ID cam is by a QR code on it that you need proprietary crap to decode...
So, out comes the cam.

And guess what? It was wrong.

Fired it up yesterday right before the end of the day. No more idle fluctuations...
These cams are all so close in specs my only issue with it was just that, unstable idle.

Some days I really regret my career choice.

Granddaughter's Jeep started surging on acceleration. Error codes indicate cams out of phase. Again. I just replaced timing chain, cam sensors, and oil control valves about a year ago. I hate newer vehicles.
