I see a slide hammer in there. Mancrush......
Use. Less. At least in this case. The screws I was using snapped before it even began to try. I like it though, $10 new in the tin carrying box 5lb? slide hammer with all the adapters from work. Normally $100, $10 because it was "obsolete". I spent ~1 hour getting the bigass snap ring (that should have f-ing ears with holes in them, in my opinion) out only to find that was pointless since the aluminum bit wasn't coming out in one piece.

David,
Any experience with the lomax 3:1 Np205 tcase?

22 years ago, I had installed 3:1 gears in an isuzu t case. With 4:56 gears, 3:1 was plenty low.

Haven’t heard that name in a long time. No exp, but 4:1 is too low for anything but extreme crawling so should be good

Straightened up a bit of the under hood wiring

Working on getting everything sorted out under the dash.

And I've got functioning high and low beam headlights

Going to call Holley again tomorrow.
They tell me the ECU is fine but I've been over all the wiring for continuity, terminal location and no backed out terminals 4 times along with 3 oxygen sensors and it just reads a flatline in the ECU data.
I've posted my program GCF and a data log on the Holley forum and there's some legit smart dudes on there and I think every other thing has been exhausted as far as possible issues.

10.5" ford sterling limited slip. Not aggressive enough offroad. Will see if more friction surface of the aftermarket clutch packs improves 2wd traction. If not, it's getting pulled for a truetrac.

45 minutes on hold with Holley tech support today.
They think that it's possible when I initially did the firmware update through the touchscreen and SD card it could have been corrupted or incomplete.

So, doing it now through my laptop...

Fingers crossed this is what is needed.

Long story short, a nice body donor for my IH C1300 4x4 has been next door to my brother dumped on some tweaker's land owned by a nutcase who sold my brother some vehicle parts then changed his mind and wanted some back. Basically, not a guy I wanted to try buying it off of. Yesterday my brother calls me and asks if I still want that IH. "Hell yeah! Why?" "Property got sold, new owner wants all the old piece of crap vehicles and trash gone." A phone call and a visit later and we had carte blanche to return with big boy toys tonight and affect a rescue as next weekend a crew starts hauling stuff out and the boss wanted the IH. First come, first served was the rule this time, though.

Two Toyota trucks got snagged for a coworker and the IH which will donate it's nice body to my 4x4 truck and the flatbed goes to my younger brother for his Highboy project. He's pumped because it's a Ford-branded flatbed, I'm happy that I've got a body donor for maybe $100. The excavator made clearing a path stupid quick, a bigass skidsteer picked up the Toyotas like they were toys and moved the truck freakin' fast. Knowing guys with heavy equipment is awesome for grabbing projects.

Operation NP205 is kinda a success. The case is in the truck, one needle bearing bit the dust and was swapped out and the guts are so-so but for now it'll work. There was a wee bit of surface rust on a few gears but I cleaned them as best I could and a whole new gear set isn't in the budget. For now the gears should self-clean after a fashion and I'll change the oil in the t-case pretty soon to "flush" out the contaminants. Not ideal, but it's for my truck that I don't really use that much and it's a risk I'm willing to take. I had to get creative, the vent bung was rusted shut so I used the cut off stub of the speedo cable as my new vent. The Dana 24 cable and NP205 cables don't interchange when I want to get a working speedometer I'll need to source a cable adapter and actually drill out the vent bung.
