I like the cut of your jib sir. Can't ever let anyone disrespect you, or your family.
Thanks. There's some weird memories locked in my brain. Just a picture of a duece, so much forgotten, comes flooding back.

I wish I could mentor younger soldiers to take military discipline seriously. Becuase when it's not taken seriously, the outcome could maime or kill a soldier quicker than the enemy.

Fighting within the ranks is so stupid.
3 one year tours in the Iraq war, lots to reflect on. It happens all the time. Whether I want to or not. I'm haunted to the very core of my spirit by that war.

The complexity and risk of cutting timber brings me peace. It gives my mind something healthy to focus on, and the labor helps me sleep. Going from war to cutting, it's a good transition.

My apologies this rant has nothing to do with grease monkey sht, so here's a 4500 that has to haul wood soon:

Rant all you want. I believe you've earned that.

I had been using one of my old work laptops to run the Holley software. It had a battery life of maybe 4 minutes. It up and went to the black screen of death last night...
So, looks like I'll be heading over to Best Buy on my lunch hour to buy their cheapest laptop that runs on Windows. They have HP Chromebooks on sale for $130 but the Holley stuff won't work on Chrome OS...

I can get a new Lenovo for $180 today.
I could probably get something cheaper from there, but could end up in the same boat I'm in now in a short period of time.
I'd rather get a refurbished computer with just an operating system installed than a new computer with a gob of bullchit in it. Done it both ways....

I had one in an 02 GMC with the 5 speed Allison.
Great engines. Crank sensor can be a legit pain if it fails and is seized to the block but that's about it. More torque than the 6.0's. I thought it was a shame when they went away.
Now I'm hearing GM doesn't support the older top kicks any more. Jeez.

No clue. We aren't a medium duty dealer.
I know there's plenty of things being discontinued these days.
Medium duties are the redheaded stepchild. Always had a hard time getting stuff for our 95 F700. Can still get stuff for pickups of same era and older.

For a while we were allowed to work on the Top-kick and Kodiak under warranty. Then we weren't. Then we were, then we weren't..
Our parts department can look up parts, but if it's not a part that also fits a light duty, they can't order it.
Red headed step child is being generous.

grew up on sqaures. Brother had a K10 on tons and 38s, I had a k5 on CUCV axles and up to 12.00-20s..that now live on my deuce.

That 10 spline just might hold up behind the 292 if the tires arent very big and don't get a lot of traction in the slop up there...and depending on the clutch operator.
David,
Any experience with the lomax 3:1 Np205 tcase?

22 years ago, I had installed 3:1 gears in an isuzu t case. With 4:56 gears, 3:1 was plenty low.

I've spent most of the afternoon banging my head against a wall trying to figure out my car.
I did find out that after a few minutes run time, my left header is cool. I can almost grab it bare handed, yet the right is hot.
The O2 sensor in the right header is clean as can be and the plug in the right header is sooty.
I'm legit contemplating pulling the injectors out of my plow truck to see if that's my problem.

And I should fix my leaking power steering hose...

"I should work on the t-case in the other bay, but first I'll quickly pop the hub off the other side of the 60". 3.5hrs later, the aluminum hub bit is what came out of the one side, the shavings are what's left of the 2nd one. I used a drill, cold chisel, and an air hammer to get that s.o.b. out and a 10lb hammer to beat the hub/rotor assembly off. I can't wait to see what the kingpins and carrier look like....
