Funny thing happened this last fall. Mud, Rain, Snow. No "wide open' mufflers for me. Had one saw roll off the bucket, jammed mud right in the muffler tube. FORTUNATELY for me I saw that and took off the muffler before running that saw again & how I build mine meant while it got IN it didn't pack into the exhaust outlet. AND they got snowed on, often. Also day in day out cutting stumps reaffirmed to me the outlet direction matters and also keeping the muffler behind the spike or ITS a bucking spike therefore mashed
B the end most of my "cool built saws" ended up in the truck and a stock 565 was the main saw. One other "blue" one crept in for blocking and topping ( not dropping ) the resultant trees, but that will be a later video.
