That's the plan. What about that hump in the transfer covers? I've got them tapered at the moment, or should I grind them out ?Need to raise the trans about 20
Lower intake
Raise exhaust
The suspicion came from 144 on the transfers. You actually meant 134, which is about rightSo I checked it again and I came up with roughly the same measurements.
I took some small stainless wire (.032) stuck it in the ports and this is what I got.
114
139
71
Checked three times and on average I get .011" per degree of rotation. Wire measures .032"
Yep. 139. I figured 4-5* for the solder. So 134 or 135 would be the transfer opening, not 144 like mentioned earlierView attachment 229508 piston is up against an .032 wire hanging in the transfer right now.
Foredom handpieces are very reasonably priced and are of good quality.Well my del cheapo air pencil grinder died on me. The mandrel that holds the collet came loose and wobbled around making it impossible to use. I got it fixed and back together but it no worky no more. I'll Jack with it tomorrow. I like to match emGot the del cheapo going again! It's a little weak for some odd reason but I think it'll see it to the end of the job.
Question, should I open the exhaust outlet up to match the muffler inlet or just let it be ? I marked it with a pencil as you can see in the pic . View attachment 230004 View attachment 230005
