I pitched two of them into the boiler to get turnt into hot water and I brought the other into the shop to use as floor sweeping dust control stuff. Install works well to sprinkle sawdust around the floor before sweeping. It somehow keeps the dust down when sweeping all the dirt and fine dirt dust that gathers on the shop floor. That’s gonna suck to stack.
@justoldsaws nice big ole stick. Dealing with them is no joke. Lot of work, lot of wood yield.
Nice to see you poking around here Farmer Steve! Finally got this white oak top finished. Only 49 tops to go.View attachment 451805View attachment 451806View attachment 451807 My brother is only available Saturdays with the tractor so slow going. This the pile from one white oak top.
I have seen Aussies work them down into chunks with like a 395 and a 24”. Lots of hard work methinks. Haven’t tried it yet.Yeah the big stuff is intimidating, lots can go wrong.
Plan is to trim the remaining branches off and then saw the main trunk in half with my 3120, it only has a 42" so will have to cut from both sides.
