With regards to creosote I pretty much have that under control .A 7" single heavy wall stainless inside a 9" clay liner, insulated with fiberglass which will take over 1300 degrees .The only portion to get any build up is the top 6" and it's not heavy .I hit it once a year with a brush . I bought that stuff from a builders supply not a so called "stove " shop with prices like they were made by Rolls-Royce .

I got a trailer load this morning for my cabin using my newest scarr 572XP. While I was loading my trailer the landowners son in law showed up with a tractor and dragged some logs out of the scrap pile for me . He brought his 10 year old son. His son had a little lawn mower with a trailer. I ended up cutting some more soft maple for them with my Stump Shot 550xpg.

Always busy doing something .The firewood needs to get in line with priorities .Lately it's 59 feet of log from a dead standing shag bark hickory hard as concrete .Good subject for testing the saws .If they can cut it they can cut anything .Then the freakin saws act up most likely from inactivity .So then it's fixing the saws before I go on .Lately I have a baby Partner 49 cc that's trying it's best to drive me insane .

While cutting off the scrap pile the last two mornings I noticed about 10 dead trees with no leaves on them. I've never cut in this area of the property. The last two winters I've been cutting a 80 north of here. I texted the landowners to let them know about all the dead trees. They said to take them down. I cut one this morning. I used my XS 550xpg for limbing and my scarr 592xp for the tree trunk, I blocked everything to 26" for a owb.

Nice having it right there for you to cut up. Looks like what we call goldilocks wood too. Not too big, not too small.
I cut 16” for my parents, 21” for me. What kind of temps are you having? We had 90f here today. Soon as the heat breaks I’ll be helping my son split his piles. Feels good to help others. 👍🏼

it was 22 Celsius so what we do is double that temp and add thirty so it was about 74 Fahrenheit

not too bad at all Quite handy it was nice lumps there was mostly ash ash , white oak and sweet chestnut

i should hve done a photo yesterday the pile looked a bit daunting I halfed the rings they where too much too lift
onto the splitter and the hydraulics on that international aren’t brilliant so I couldn’t lower the link arms
as there’s so much play in the levers i got them tied up with baler twine to stop them lifting on there own

I got a little this morning. There's a group of dead trees in this area. I dropped the tree yesterday after cutting firewood for my cabin. I hit metal and called it a day. I came back this morning to cut it up .I used one of my XS 550xp for the limbs and my scarr 572XP for the trunk. I blocked everything at 26" for a owb.

CSS two totes of elm, after working weeds to get to it. No breeze or shade, so seemed hotter than it was.Screenshot_20230827_154617_WeatherBug.jpg
