I might need about one more cord to fill out my stacks for the year .As it is about 6-7 cords and I only burn about 4-4.5 from November to mid March .Before or after it's too hard to regulate the heat .I'm set up to build the stacks so I can back a trailet between two rows and load from both sides .Like the oak opposite the cotton and bass wood .The later is not real good wood but okay to run through the day and the oak holds over the night .

I got a little after work today. There's a bunch of dead trees in this area. The trunk was cut up with my XS 572xpg and I used my Stump Shot 550xpg for the limbs. Everything was blocked up to 26" for a owb.

I got another one this morning. The tree was about 20 feet away from the one I cut yesterday. I used my newest scarr 572XP and my scarr 550xpg for the limbs.

I dragged another decent sized oak log out of the pile .This one I think is a white oak and that should do it for the season .I might however do some more later depending on the weather .Unlike the many hearty souls I do not like cold weather heat doesn't bother me like some .

I saw a lot

I just got a good start today then my neighbor showed up with the skid loader .Now that's the hot ticket .I had a hard time splitting those oak rounds small enough to handle .That thing made short work of it .

I did get a small amount of ash cut before hand using two small saws .A Stihl 024 and a Partner 5000 plus both stock as far as I know except for modified mufflers .I like the little Stihl but the Partner will cut twice as fast .Fact they don't even belong on the same page .
