Edit: a few have asked what kind of wood was in that haul. It was a mix of standing dead elm and a oak I pulled from the lil creek behind the truck.

Never counted. Whenever sumthin needs patched I use whatever I have on hand. Might paint it one day....... But I've been saying that for 7 or 8 years :cool:

I like it.
Reminds me of those Volkswagen Jettas (iirc) that have all the different color panels. Probably doesn't squat out of the hole like "farm truck" does lol.

I saw a lot

@Wood Doctor

Edwin,
Didn't anyone ever tell you not to leave the keys in your splitter? Well, I saw it and just and to teach you a Leason yesterday. Hope this teaches you something!

Actually, I did forget to do one thing -- fill the splitter's tank with gasoline. Naturally, I remembered after I was eight miles away. I do this every time and the one time I forgot, Stephie shows up and runs the splitter. Heck, she split more than I did yeterday.

Thanks so much. I will stack it on Sunday about noon. I also have to load the truck for a Monday noon delivery. A lady just bought a new stove and is desperate to try it. There might be a truckload of dry enough wood in the oldest stack there. I measured an average of 16% with my moisture meter, and it's mostly ash, so it should be OK.

Thanks again, Stephie! Two thumbs up!
