Because I cut fire wood at 26" , it's very heavy. I noodle a lot of it down to smaller pieces to carry .
They almost look too nice to burn lol.

Lucky... W H O R E...let it censor that one!
Nothing better than noodling up the giant bases. Nobody wants to man handle that stuff. Well unless you got heavy equipment with splitter attachment. I noodle them. Atleast into quarters at the very least. Depends how large they are.
I agree. Noodle it down to manageable sizes. Look into getting a pickup jib crane and a set of tongs, to help with these situations. I used to have one on my car trailer and once the round was on the trailer I just rolled it where it'd need to go. Those cranes are pretty cheap and will save your back.Would you mess with these white oak chunks?
I'm tempted, but I have no help or equipment besides a Cant Hook, ramps, and a creaky back!
Some backbreaking labor right here...
I like that little trailer. It looks handy........and low to the ground.2 truck and trailer loads today.

I would let them know that you will try a few and see how it goes.Would you mess with these white oak chunks?

Exactly what I was going to say. Much of the free wood I get is the big stuff most people can't handle.I would let them know that you will try a few and see how it goes.
On the pieces that are longer than you want for the length of splits, noodle them partially before cutting them to length, it saves a lot of cutting lower to the ground.
Forgot to say; you can make those noodling cuts at around 6-8" apart so that the pieces can then be split easily with a splitting axe or mail once you cut them to length.

E Z pickens Reggie. Use your big bar saw and noodle them to manageable sized pieces. Piece of cake. You can do it.
Looks like its wishful thinking now!Wow Brad. I carry my logs out of the woods too, but cut them all to 16" in order to fit in stove and stack neatly. You can do it Reggie. If I lived closer I'd swing by and give you a hand.
