Nice old tundra with the t4r wheels.
A member here converted the chain for me . He wanted me to test it out .
It will dull a chain for sure, I find a slower saw with good power does well on it, and the chains last a little better.Yes it is but it’s the best firewood. Right Brett? @chipper1

I wouldn't say it's the best, but I sure like it a lot and I have had quite a bit available. I still have a good number of BL trees next door to take down, mostly hung up and either broke, but still holding on. Once I get the barn roof finished, one more larger tree job and a smaller pruning job done, then I may start working on firewood again. I like to go out in Jan/ Feb and cut down dead standing BL. Usually I split it right where I drop it, toss it in the bucket and bring it right into the house. I set the rounds or large splits around the wood stove to let them dry, by the next day they have 3/16-3/8" splits in them .
I need to pick up these cookies and bring them in.
Once it dries it's very hard.Good God Man!
Looks like you're cutting concrete!
You did cut it up well I might add!Once it dries it's very hard.
Great wood though.
This morning I'm burning a few smaller rounds of BL a split and two larger splits of cherry, it's supposed to get up to 46 today, don't want to overheat the house.
Everytime I ponder over selling the Stump Special MS 660, a noodling spell kinda decends and then vacates...

Imagine what that saw would do to some cedar, especially "cedars of Lebanon" .Everytime I ponder over selling the Stump Special MS 660, a noodling spell kinda decends and then vacates...

Last spring I cut a lot of it off my neighbors property that had been down for many yrs, with a full chisel chain you where touching it up every tank. It didn't help it had dirt under the moss growing on it.It sure is great burning wood! I've cut my fair share up down bl or some that has sat around. Every time I do it I feel like it's a job better suited for my demo saw lol
