The only mod those mufflers need is to the baffle, either a 1/2" hole, or remove it, depending on if it is ported some or not.

Ditto with the timing advance. On a mostly stock cylinder, I would take about .020 off the key, on a ported saw, .030.

Those mufflers have no screens and plenty of openings. IMO, screens usually reduce flow by about 50%, so keep that in mind when comparing to other modified mufflers.

With the MMWS cross cylinder i took about. 040 off the key. Gotta pull the recoil like ya mean it or you get some sore fingers. Saw does seem to run a little hotter than when i was at .020 off the key.

Got a question. Is the chineesium coil that comes with the kit unlimited or limited? My saw seems to not want to run past 12600. My 361 kit saw will rev to 14000
I don't run it that lean but it will rev that high. The 660 won't. I did buy a DZE unlimited coil and wondered if it was worth putting it in. Just wondering. Thanks

I'll do .020 off key and drill a big hole through the baffle. I may add screens later to catch the pieces when I blow it up haha jk. It gets pretty dry here and I may add them to cut down on potential fire hazard

I don't think the AM coils are limited, but I think most of the cylinders have to be ported to reach good RPMs.

I like the Cross cylinders, but some of them ran much better than others, and virtually all of them could benefit from some addl port work.

Often, the Ex can be made a little wider, and the intake a little lower. Sometimes, raising the Ex helps also. High compression can add torque, but hurt RPMs, especially when the intake is too high and it does not get enough fuel.

Black ring looks like a buffer part. If you don't have an IPL you can ask over at the manual thread. Should be able to get a PDF file from one of the guys who is savvy with the
transfer. The screw could be an extra -- but it looks like an oiler screw or a brake dust cover screw (?) Those are thoughts. The poster above nailed it on the cap that goes in the
recess end of the oiler.

Im only using the inner dogs so maybe the screw is something left over to mount the outer.

Thanks for the input!
Eill take a look at the oiler.

My kit came with that rubber part already in the oiler. There was an extra one that came with the rubber parts.

They sometimes ship some extra parts, a buffer will be pre installed, and they ship one to install, etc.

I agree with the other comments.

True dat! Hopefully you have both in place where they belong. If not trouble is surely ahead.
I was just joshing you guys. That's the farmertec circlip. I used the hyway ones. Notice the FT ones don't have tangs on them anymore. I have somewhere another pack of screws and one for the handle. They gave me two of the little chain brake springs and no detent lever. Better to have too many screws than not enough hahaha
