Got so used to the comfort that I can't see myself going the other way. Heathed handles isnt just for cold days, kinda nice on rain days also.
I have a couple 42's that I rebuild to G nowadays.
That said I do believe the coldest I've ever been is on the Gulf Coast in February when it was 35* and wind was coming in off the Gulf. Cold ,damp, windy yuck!Ok, I can honestly understand heated handles in northern climes, but here in Missssippi we have the sort of weather where at the Dawn church service for Easter (mid/late March for you heathens ) people are wearing short sleeve shirts and are still sweating.
People talk about the Pac-Northwest for wet and humid climates, and while I will give them the "wet" folks who REALLY want to test out some sort of raincoats "breathability" needs to try a summer rainstorm in MS. We are LUCKY to get a 5mph breeze, the temp is 100+. The humidity is 95-100%..... and then it rains. People have to walk around doing handstands to empty out the condensation from their lungs. The highest point in the state is 800 feet, 245 meters above sea level. . .
It is like that from April 1 until mid September.
I sooo want to move to Banff, Idaho, Wyoming, or Colorado.
Agreed, moist/damp cold is exponentially Worse than Dry, yet DAMN cold temps. That said I do believe the coldest I've ever been is on the Gulf Coast in February when it was 35* and wind was coming in off the Gulf. Cold ,damp, windy yuck!
