Took down these two the other day. Felled the birch out and my buddy climbed down the ash which had half the crown over the roof so a fair bit came off on the rope, not to mention a smallish drop zone with the fence. A lot more to the ash than it looked when i bid the job but the chipper was well positioned and we got her done.

Forgot to add a picture of the new favorite felling saw. An arctic 461 with scoring around the upper transfers i picked up a few months back for under 200 bucks. It is now sporting a hyway pop up with the intake skirt trimmed .040, an unlimited ignotion and an empty can china dual port muffler. She runs nice.

Those are just the backing plates from a maxflow, the filter is an HD2.

Nice work. Nice hole im the center rotten bugger. I get that too sometimes, many times its always more when it hits the ground.

Winding down im hearing finally. But cranking up on burn and hazard removals. These are two young men, work on a geyserville fire fuel reduction crew, that runs with me. Joey with my saw my 461. And Mike sitting. I gave them the rundown on pulling a tree, using sluck line rope, and truck winch.

MS461R that Randy did a few years ago.

That’s a main lead on a red oak about 20’ from the stem. The homeowner had us remove it because it was dropping tips & was over the sheds.

It had defects, splits & was compromised.
