I'm running the 24" E bars on mine. They were very reasonable in price. They were also recently discontinued, but there may still be some in stock.

(There is no such thing as a 25" bar, they re named it because the 28" bar is really a 27" bar and they did not want you to notice. Count the links and it becomes very obvious that I am right.)

The E bar balances far better than an ES bar of the same length.

Cool thanks buddy. I'm hearing a few locally live em. Your the second person I heard say that on fuel. But my Stills always seemed thirstier than my husky imo. I always assumed from different ported of brands. Looking like they finally landed husky style av thats good

Even stock 500is have a reputation for drinking fuel. Have not heard any similar complaints about the 462, so is not a "brand" thing. Ironically, I think it is because of the injectors, which should accomplish the opposite.

FYI, the dyno thread has a new test on muff modded 462 ... impressive!

Thanks Amigo. Brand thing not sure but over all the years running my husky side by side with my Stills. I noticed I could do more work with the husky. Especially the 066 660 stihl. Man they drank fuel. I have a new 500i on order with a 32inch stihl light bar. Waiting list here. But give me time to scrape cash together. See what next year brings since I'm more the husky guy. But this 500i seems legit.

Yea, my 066/660s drink a lot too, but not most of my other Stihls. In fact, when I put a 28" bar on my 10 mm 044 I was shocked how much Oak and Hickory I bucked up with a single tank of fuel, and that saw does not have a huge tank.

Nice tall straight trees, let us know how you like the 500i. I have heard back from several others that have them, nice setup you have there.
Will do thanks Amigo. Funny thing I was dead set against the newer saw designs. And laughed at the 500i when i first heard mention. Now im eating crow.

Lost a real good Dog a couple days ago one of our favotites. Dozer our mastiff almost made 13, but had a incredible life. I ripped a redwood log butt cut, got a chunk for my wife. Her and our friend made a head stone.
